At Restore Therapy clients can usually expect to observe a change in their scar within the first or second treatment. A series of treatments taken every 2-4 weeks may be recommended, but is not always necessary.
Attending in early recovery, from around 6+ weeks after surgery or trauma will be the best way to promote healthy scar formation. Mature scars, of any age, will still benefit from treatment, but results may be a little slower to achieve, as the natural cell turnover in the scar tissue is slower.

If you are scheduled to have radiotherapy after surgery and have a window for scar therapy 6+ weeks post surgery but before radiotherapy this is an ideal time to book. This may not be possible, and so treatment after radiotherapy can commence as soon as your skin has recovered. |
