Leading international educator scar tissue therapy
Emma is a specialised clinical scar specialist, a leader in her field, with a reputation for excellence. Well known for being able to get results using non-invasive treatment approaches. With over 30 years of experience as a therapist, Emma has been spearheading changes within healthcare via her education programs. Her training courses are regularly attended by NHS and private healthcare professionals, and she has a global teaching team, offering her Restore Therapy scar tissue treatment training program internationally.
Career
Emma started her career as a therapist in the early 1990's and has always been passionate about helping people recovery from injury and painful conditions using her therapy skills. Since attending advanced training in scar tissue therapy in 2015, she fast became an expert by accessing education in this specialist area through international teachers and specialist conferences. Within 18 months of completing training in the Sharon Wheeler's ScarWork method, she was approached by Sharon and asked to teach, becoming a certified ScarWork tutor in 2016. As more research emerged into scar tissue treatment, Emma utilised lockdown to study and develop a more evidence informed practice, launching her own Restore Therapy scar tissue training program which is now taught via her teaching team across UK and Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Emma is regularly asked to present at professional conferences, including therapist events such as Therapy Expo, surgical and nursing events, including Association of Breast Surgery conference and Wound Care Today, and at specialist oncology and lymphatic conferences and symposiums such as 30th World Congress of the International Society of Lymphology (ISL).
