Deep Oscillation Medical Device
Deep Oscillation® has been developed to reduce pain and oedema, promote mobility and wound healing and improve scar formation. Treatment can commence early in your recovery. This therapeutic device provides gentle stimulation delivered from your therapist via gloved hands. Deep Oscillation® is used to support dynamic wound healing with less resultant scar tissue, but it is also effective for the dispersal of hardened fibrotic scar tissue in mature scars. This device can be beneficial for patients with capsular contracture, swelling, pain and other post-operative complications.
What is Deep Oscillation®?
Deep Oscillation® an internationally patented, proven technology based on the effects of creating an electrostatic field in the tissue. You will be asked to hold a small conductive element, and your therapist will also attach an electrode to her body, so as to create a circuit between patient and therapist. With hygienic, vinyl gloved hands, Emma Holly will be able to use scar massage whilst delivering oscillation treatment.
Treatment is usually described as relaxing and soothing. Clients experience will feel a quick but gentle vibrating sensation as the tissues are lifted and released in quick pulsating movements. The machine creates a gentle buzz - or humming sound. Deep Oscillation® is so beneficial to clients after injury or trauma because, rather than simply pushing into the body and compressing the tissues, this device allows a massage to occur, whilst lifting the superficial tissues. Increasing the space in the interstitial fascial tissue and allowing for a boost of circulation and lymphatic flow.
