Joana Pedroso is a highly skilled and certified scar therapist specialising in the treatment of scar tissue, adhesions and fibrosis following surgery, trauma and burns. Her approach combines advanced manual techniques with a whole-body understanding of movement, helping to reduce discomfort, restore mobility and support long-term recovery.

Career
Joana’s background in Bowen therapy and neuromuscular bodywork has shaped her holistic approach to scar tissue treatment. Utilising the Restore Therapy scar tissue method in combination with medical devices for scar therapy: LymphaTouch® and Deep Oscillation® to target both superficial and deeper tissue layers, , enhancing treatment outcomes and promoting optimal healing.

She has extensive experience supporting clients following breast cancer procedures such as lumpectomy, mastectomy and breast reconstruction, working with concerns including tightness, sensitivity, numbness and cording. Joana recognises that scar tissue can influence the body far beyond the site of injury, and her treatments are designed to improve overall function and ease within the body. Alongside her clinical practice, Joana is committed to accessible care and provides specialist scar therapy for breast cancer patients at the charity Future Dreams House in London.
